Ivor and Barbara’s Vow Renewal
It’s Like Starting Over…
Ivor and Barbara had been married 44 years in 2022 and wanted to celebrate that achievement with a Vow Renewal.
They now live in Spain, but came home to do their Vow Renewal with all their family here in Aberdeen

Date & Venue
The Palm Court Hotel in Aberdeen was the lovely venue for Ivor and Barbara’s intimate Vow Renewal.
A Lovely wee room set up for the ceremony followed by the family dinner.
THE COUPLE
Ivor was hilarious right from the start.
They called me regularly from Spain to create their ceremony. And I found out that Ivor had been a funeral celebrant in his day.

We had a surprise guest at the ceremony, their adopted “son” who’d been in the loft for a few years.
The whole family were such good fun at the ceremony.

The ceremony was funny and emotional just what Ivor and Barbara had ordered.
Two of their grandchildren did a reading in the ceremony to.
Their Story
first date
Ivor and Barbara’s first date was a double date with their best mates.
But Ivor kept disappearing during the date, for Barbara to find out later that he was off checking the football scores… and that’s how its been ever since.

How Ivor proposed to Barbara isn’t one for sharing if you get my meaning.
But it was a quick courtship, they met in the Sept and by the Nov he was proposing, yup that’s the same year.
Ivor knew Barbara was the girl for him.

Ivor and Barbara have a beautiful close family who all love taking the P out of each other.
They now live in Spain but are always popping home to see the kiddie winks.
