A celebrant in Aberdeen for couples who want to laugh, love and legally tie the knot, I'm the girl to make your day memorable, fun and with meaning.

Meet the Gannon Crew Leanne and Martin got marrie Meet the Gannon CrewLeanne and Martin got married on Saturday at Aswanley, another stunning wedding set in some stunning scenery. And I got to see some familiar faces in the run-up on the day, and some new ones too, which is always fun.First off, we were at Aswanley, a stunning Aberdeenshire wedding venue, my 2nd visit this year. It’s set in beautiful countryside and looked amazing again with a little bit of autumn colours still handing around, wonder what it looks like today in the snow. We had Claire as the co-ordinator on the day, and she was fabulous, she looked after us all really well on the day.Emma from Paper and Petals was there, swinging from the chandelier, well not really but she was setting up the flowers in them. The place smelt and looked beautiful with the colours and flowers that Leanne and Martin had picked.Next up, we have Julia Stronach, a stunning make-up artist, who leaves the bride and her wedding party looking fabulous for their big day. She’s a calming presence, so if you're nervous, she helps you settle and step out feeling confident for the walk down the aisle. It’s always nice to see her wee face when I arrive to see the bride. Then there was Brian and Paul from Studio Snaps in Glasgow, two cheeky boys, and you know I love a cheeky boy. Their first trip to Aswanley and not their last, they hope. I’ve seen the sneaky peeks, and their photos are stunning. Hope to see them again at a wedding for that bit of cheek, it's that cheek and chill factor that get the couples relaxed, which makes for fab photos. And then we have the beautiful Lauren on hair, another wee face with a huge smile that I love to see when I visit the bride at the start of the day. She’s amazing at what she does, and the wedding party turn up looking fabulous, can’t wait to see her in a place we can actually have a chat, she’s normally busy doing hair when I arrive, so I leave her to it.#aberdeenweddingvendors #julzstron #lpcreative_bridalhair #paperandpetals1 #studiosnapweddings#aswanley #autumwedding #aberdeenshireweddingvenue
Make the Proposal Fit Them Have you taken a prope Make the Proposal Fit ThemHave you taken a proper moment to think about what kind of proposal your partner would enjoy? You want the happy tears. Not the “why is this happening here” face.Ask yourself a few simple things.Do they enjoy attention, or would a crowd give them the ick?Would they love a big show, or would they prefer the two of you tucked away somewhere quiet?Would they want you to speak to their parents, or would that send everyone into mild panic? When you plan a proposal that suits them, everything feels smoother. They feel understood. You feel relaxed. They feel understood. That is when you get a strong yes and a story people love hearing.#'proposingtips #gettingengaged #celebrantaberdeen #aberdeenweddingsupplier #celebrantaberdeenshire #aberdeenweddings #celebrantangel
Where to propose? Thinking about where to pop the Where to propose?Thinking about where to pop the question?Don’t feel pressured to follow the crowd; this is a big day for you both, so do it your way on your day.Main points:Pick a spot that means something to you both, your favourite walk, a café you love, or where you had your first date.Special dates for you as a couple work better than “romantic” days from the calendar.Proposing is about making memories, not keeping up with everyone else.Sometimes the best proposals happen on a completely ordinary day, and that’s what makes it unforgettable.I didn't get engaged on a romantic day from the calendar, mine was somewhere special to us both.#proposal #marriageproposal #wheretopropose #celebrantaberdeen #aberdeenweddingsupplier #celebrantaberdeenshire
Whats on your head? Want something a little bit d Whats on your head?Want something a little bit different for your wedding outfit, ever thought about wearing a hat?Veils are classic. Hats are unforgettable.A hat on your wedding day shows confidence, style, and a little bit of fun. Wide brim, structured, or delicate fascinator, pick one that frames your face and complements your dress.Outdoor wedding? Spring ceremony? Or you simply want something a bit different, a hat does it all.Stand out without trying too hard.Your wedding look should be you. If a veil whispers tradition, a hat speaks your name. What would you choose for your wedding day outfit? I think i'd like photo 3, as it's got a bit of veil on it too, so best of both worlds.#weddinghats #brideshats #noveils #celebrantaberdeen #aberdeenweddingsupplier #celebrantaberdeenshire #

Dogs as Ring Bearers? Absolutely YES! I'm a mass Dogs as Ring Bearers? Absolutely YES! I'm a massive dog lover, and somehow I seem to be a magnet for couples with dogs, which is absolutely living the dream! So when a couple tells me they want their dog in their ceremony, I don't just agree... I'm basically already planning the entire entrance in my head.Because here's the thing, they're not just pets, they're FAMILY.They've been there through the late-night cuddles, the Netflix binges, the "nobody understands me but you" moments.Of course they should be there for this! I've had several ring-bearing dogs in ceremonies now, and every single time, it's GOLD.The moment that furry little VIP appears at the top of the aisle, usually in some adorable outfit that took three attempts to get on, the entire room loses it.The collective "awwww!" The couple's faces absolutely melting with love and pride. Someone's crying Will they walk in a perfectly straight line? Probably not.Might they stop to investigate a particularly interesting smell or demand attention from a guest? Almost definitely.Could they steal the show completely? Already happening. And that's what makes it PERFECT!This is your day, your family, your story , and if your story includes a four-legged best friend who's been with you through thick and thin, then they absolutely deserve their moment in the spotlight too. Oh I was not popular that night.🤣And then you have my bestest option, a hot chocolate. You could even have a wee table set to the side with marshmallows, cream and chocolate spoons to stir them, ohhh I'm salivating right now thinking about one.what options are you having at your winter wedding, any of the above?

One for the mums Another one that I absolutely lo One for the mumsAnother one that I absolutely love using in a ceremony is giving the mums the role of ring bearer.Again, we don't tell them until the ceremony starts, and honestly, watching their wee faces light up with pride and delight at being given the role is one of my favourite moments. And they do the job so well, they hang on to those rings VERY tightly during the ceremony. I'm talking Fort Knox levels of security. No ring is getting lost on their watch! We did this at Emma and Ewan's wedding recently, and I've done it at a few other weddings too. It's such a simple gesture, but it means the world to them. It's a beautiful way to honour the women who've been there from the very beginning, from your first steps to walking you down the aisle. They helped raise you, they've loved you unconditionally, and now they get to literally hand you the symbol of your forever.#MumsAtWeddings #MotherOfTheBride #MotherOfTheGroom #WeddingMums #ProudMum #FamilyFirst #MumLife #HonouringMum #daniellesliephotograhy #celebrantaberdeen #celebrantaberdeenshire #aberdeenweddingsupplier

No, well I might have a wee idea for you, but the cake makers may not thank me for this one 😊 Why not have a couple of cup cakes made in your wedding cake flavours and have them the following day.I love that idea. You'll be chilled, can go over some of your memories of the day, check out your sneaky peeks and enjoy the cake you might not have got. #celebrantaberdeen #weddingcakesideas #weddingcakeinspiration
That Heart-In-Mouth Moment Sent off a first draft That Heart-In-Mouth MomentSent off a first draft of a wedding script last week to one of my couples.I cannot tell you how many times I read a script over and over before sending it out for review. Then I sit here like a nervous teenager waiting to see if they like it.Did I get the tone right?Have I nailed their story?Too much humour? Not enough? It’s always a mix of excitement and mild panic.Hitting “send” never gets easier. Thankfully, S & F liked theirs. I can sleep easily tonight now.#1stdraft #weddingscript #1streveiw #celebrantaberdeen #aberdeenweddingsupplier #celebrantaberdeenshire #celebrantangel #aberdeenweddings
Wait... Where Are the Rings?! Let's talk rings t Wait... Where Are the Rings?! Let's talk rings this week.Lots of my couples have recently used different ways to include their friends and family in their wedding rings, so I thought I'd share some of the ones I've seen.Let's start with hiding the wedding rings...This is where I get to hide the rings in the ceremony room before anyone arrives, under any seat I like, and the only ones who know this is happening are the couple. We've even kept it secret from the best man at some weddings. (Yes, we're that evil. 😈)I normally tape them under 2 chairs.Or you can really commit to the chaos and set the best man up by giving them to one of the other wedding party members instead. The look of panic on the best man's face at Clyde and Melissa's wedding, and Hilary and Jaime's, was priceless. When the time comes for the ring exchange, we ask for the rings. They say, "I've not got them, should I have them?"And we let that panic marinate for a moment before I announce we've hidden them and invite the guests to look under their seats.Cue the frantic checking, the gasps, the "is it me?!" moments. When the lucky two find them, they bring the rings to the front like absolute heroes. It's a lovely way to bring a surprise to the ceremony, keep everyone on their toes and include some friends or family in a moment they'll never forget.Plus, the photos of everyone searching are comedy gold. 📸✨Did you hide the rings in your ceremony? Let's talk security. I love finding ways to inclu Let's talk security.I love finding ways to include your kids in your wedding ceremony. Some of my favourites have been the “ring security guards” who take their jobs very seriously. They march down the aisle, chest puffed out, grinning from ear to ear, like they’re protecting royal jewels instead of a couple of wedding rings. We always have a wee rehearsal so they know exactly what to do and where to stand. It helps them feel confident and keeps things running smoothly. If you’re worried about your rings going missing in the excitement, give them an empty ring box for the job. The real rings can stay safely with your best man, best woman, or the mums. Everyone wins.Photos by #photosbyzoeweddings and #mikecookphotography #ringsecurity #weddingrings #ringsecurityguards #celebrantaberdeen #aberdeenweddingsupplier #celebrantaberdeenshire #
