Four across.. two down Kara and Liam put together Four across.. two down

Kara and Liam put together a custom crossword as a little activity for their guests, with clues from their love story.

I loved this and hadn't seen it before; it's pretty cool, right?

And a lovely keepsake of your day that you can hang on the wall.

The smallest details really do make the biggest memories. 🤍

SMALL WEDDINGS, BIG LOVE Dreaming of an intimate SMALL WEDDINGS, BIG LOVE

Dreaming of an intimate wedding?

You don't need a grand ballroom to have an unforgettable day.

I see so many couples asking about smaller, more intimate venues, and I completely understand the appeal.

There is something incredibly special about gathering only the people who truly matter, and celebrating in a space that feels personal and warm.

I recently had the absolute honour of marrying Kara & Liam at the stunning Norwood Hall in Aberdeen, a gorgeous venue that caters beautifully for weddings of all sizes.

Their ceremony was held in the Tapestry Restaurant, a room that felt like it was made for exactly this kind of moment.

Just 16 of their closest family and friends surrounded them, and the room was perfect for it. Cosy, elegant, and full of warmth.

The coordinators at Norwood Hall were absolutely wonderful, keeping everything running seamlessly so Kara and Liam could simply enjoy every single moment.

And a big plus for Kara and Liam and some of my other couples getting married there this year is that Norwood Hall is dog friendly!

If you're dreaming of something small, meaningful & entirely yours on your wedding day, there is a venue (and a celebrant!) waiting for you. 😊

Walking Down The Aisle… Your Way Back in 2022, I Walking Down The Aisle… Your Way

Back in 2022, I had a beautiful bride, Anna, who chose to walk herself down the aisle, and honestly… there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Including mine.

It was simple.
It was powerful.
And she looked absolutely stunning.

What made it even more special was that her parents were both there, happily supporting her alongside their new partners. She had choices. Plenty of them.

But she chose to do it her way.

And that’s the thing I love most about modern ceremonies… there are no rules anymore.

You can walk with:
✨ Mum
✨ Dad
✨ Both parents
✨ Your children
✨ Your dog (always a personal favourite!)
✨ Your best friend
✨ Your partner
…or completely on your own like the absolute queen you are.

More and more couples are choosing alternatives to the “traditional” aisle walk, and I love watching the guests’ faces when they realise something a little different is happening.

There’s always this lovely moment of surprise… followed very quickly by tears. Usually from the dads. And me. 😂

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about doing what’s expected, remember there is no rule book anymore. It’s about doing what feels right for you.

There are more alternative ways to walk down the aisle on the blog here https://www.thecelebrantangel.com/6-alternative-ways-to-wal#celebrantaberdeen

What do i do when I get to the top of the aisle? What do i do when I get to the top of the aisle?

Some people think that kissing your partner on your wedding day shouldn't be until I pronounce you married.

That's not what we do at my ceremonies, unless you want to wait for that moment obviously.

I'm all about getting you both over the nerves, so I always encourage my couples to do what they want when they get to the top with me.

It might be a hug or a kiss, its almost always a few giggles to.

But I can always feel the nerves disappear after that little gesture

What would you do, kiss? Hug? Or have you got a special way of greeting each other normally that you might do.

Walk down the aisle TOGETHER? Some of my couples Walk down the aisle TOGETHER?

Some of my couples suffer from anxiety, and the closer it gets to the wedding day, the worse the nerves can get, and we don't want you feeling like that on your wedding day.

So a lovely way to keep the anxiety at bay is to walk down the aisle together, and this is also a great option if you have no family to walk you down the aisle.

And if you're worried about upsetting people if you ask one particular person to walk you down the aisle, this would avoid all those awkward family politics as well, and nobody's left feeling upset because they weren't asked to escort you.

Walking down the aisle together is becoming more and more popular, and honestly, it makes so much sense.

I absolutely love this idea. I haven't had a couple do it yet, but I will be SO excited when I do!

My gorgeous couple from Saturday's wedding @bachiltonbarn, a stunning venue for a stunning couple

We had a brilliant day. The guests were amazing and joined in throughout the ceremony.

There were tears, a lot of tears, but so much laughter too, just what they ordered.

Thank you to Dean and Ella for having me as their celebrant.

Aisle be there… "I'm so nervous about walking dow Aisle be there…

"I'm so nervous about walking down the aisle"

Is something I hear from my couples all the time in the lead up to their wedding, in fact, it's often one of the very first things that comes up at our very first meeting.

Walking down the aisle can feel like one of the most nerve-wracking moments of the whole day. All those eyes on you, that long walk, everyone waiting.

And if it's not nerves about the walk itself, it's "I'm not sure who I want to walk me down the aisle"

So this week, I'm going to give you some alternatives that might suit you and your partner much better.

There's no rulebook about how to do this. Not anymore anyway.

There are so many beautiful (and brilliant) ways to make that moment feel completely comfortable and completely you, so I'm going to share some ideas that might just take that anxiety away and turn it into a moment you actually look forward to.

Do you have to memorise your vows? Absolutely no Do you have to memorise your vows?

Absolutely not. 😅

You've got enough going on in the lead up to your wedding day — trying to memorise your vows might just be the thing that tips you over the edge.

So here's what I do with my couples.

You each write your vows completely separately, keep them secret from each other, and send them to me weeks before the wedding.

I get them printed up so you have them in your hands on the day.

No memorising. No accidentally leaving them on the kitchen table at 7am in a panic. No reading them off your phone, imagine that in the photos. 😅

Your partner hears every word as you say it. Unrehearsed. Unfiltered. Real.

When it's time for your vows, I pass them to you, and you read them out loud to each other for the very first time.on has written? There's nothing quite like it. 🤍

So, still on the fence about vows? I hope that helps. 😊

Your vows, your audience, even if that's just two Your vows, your audience, even if that's just two people

If you're a couple who'd rather not stand up in front of everyone and pour your heart out, but you want to say vows to each other, there are other ways of doing it without your 60 guests hearing it all.

You could keep your vows just for the two of you and read them to each other after the ceremony, private, intimate, no audience required.

Or write each other a letter to open on the morning of your wedding day.

Honestly, some couples say that's the most emotional moment of the whole day, and nobody's watching.

So don't stress yourself out about this.

There's no rule that says vows have to happen at the altar.

This is your day, your way.
