A celebrant in Aberdeen for couples who want to laugh, love and legally tie the knot, I'm the girl to make your day memorable, fun and with meaning.

We're off to the forest today For Danielle and Ca We're off to the forest today

For Danielle and Calvin's ceremony @riversidedyce a place I've not been before. And weather permitting today we will be in the forest bit for the ceremony.

This one has the markings of great craic, as these two are mad as hatters, so can't wait to see how it all rolls today.

You don't have to live in Aberdeen to have me as y You don't have to live in Aberdeen to have me as your celebrant!

I work with couples from all over Scotland and, sometimes, much further afield too.
And no, you don't have to keep travelling to Aberdeen for meetings.

Instead, we use Zoom or WhatsApp for our meetings, and if you're up in Aberdeen on the lead-up to the wedding, then we do face-to-face meet-ups.

And if we haven't had the chance to meet before the big day, I’ll always make sure we meet face-to-face the day/night before.

It still means we get proper face-to-face time together, have a chat, get to know each other, talk about your plans and your story, and I get to know what makes you you.

The rest works exactly the same way.

Your ceremony is still personal, completely bespoke and written just for you two. ❤

And let's be honest, sometimes it's much easier to have a chat from your sofa in your jammies, especially in winter.

Then I work on your ceremony script the same way I do with my local couples.

It's still personal.
It's still completely bespoke.
It's still full of you two.

You'll get the same time, care, attention and slightly obsessive note-taking whether you're 10 minutes away, somewhere else in Scotland, or sitting on the other side of the world. 🌎

So if you've found me and thought, "Oh, she's in Aberdeen…" don't let that stop you.

The couples on this post weren't local, some as far away as Englandshire, and I've worked with couples from America, Dubai, and Canada, to name a few.

If you're happy to have a chat on Zoom, I'm happy to travel a little further than my front door!

Scotland, elsewhere in the UK or abroad, let's have a wee chat and see if I'm available for your date. ❤️

Meet Mr and Mrs Rouse, A couple of weeks ago I ha Meet Mr and Mrs Rouse,

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of marrying these beautiful people at the gorgeous Raemoir House.

We got the weather, so we had the ceremony outside in the little forest bit. I love a ceremony in there.

There were guests from Shetland and England, as well as local. And Alex is a fireman, so there was an old fire engine there too, photos of that to come later.

Can you tell How much these two love each other, Can you tell

How much these two love each other, by those smiles, they were there the whole day. In fact, every time I met them, they were smiling 😁

I had the pleasure of marrying Alan and Elaine last week, and what a fantastic time we had in the ceremony.

I got away with quite a bit of cheek, which is always my favourite thing in a ceremony.

They were a cracking couple to work with, and I'll miss them now it's all over.

Today's the big day For Luc and Beth Raemoir Hous Today's the big day

For Luc and Beth Raemoir House.

It feels like this one has been coming for a while, but I'm so excited to see them both marry their best friend today.

The One Rule I Hope I Never Have to Enforce If yo The One Rule I Hope I Never Have to Enforce

If you turn up to your ceremony completely steaming, I legally can't marry you? That's actually true.

Now, a little "Dutch courage" dram to steady the nerves, go for it; I'm not the fun police.

But if you arrive doing an impression of a wedding guest at 11pm rather than the actual bride or groom, we've got a problem.

Happily, this has never actually happened to me, and I pray it never does; that would be a confrontation I wouldn't like to have.

My couples tend to be too busy being wildly excited about marrying the love of their life to also be hammered.

And if I had a penny for every bride that says to her groom, "I don't want a kiss stinking of booze" I might be able to retire 😁

It's one of the gentle reminders I give at the rehearsal too.

It's not a bad rule either, I don't think. What do you think?

Would you be excited if you turned up to your partner at the top of the aisle and they were drunk.?

What if we don't want..... To sign our marriage s What if we don't want.....

To sign our marriage schedule in front of everyone.

Well, you can do that.

Many moons ago, it was how it used to be, especially in a church wedding, and it is still done that way today in some churches.

Daniel and Rosalin didn't want to sign in front of everyone, so after the ceremony was over, the couple, the witnesses, and I all went into a separate room and did the signing, and whilst it was different, it was still lovely.

So when a celebrant tells you there are no rules... there are no rules, well, apart from the legal wording that has to be said in the ceremony; the script is yours to do what you want on your day.

The Wedding Awards North East As some of you'll h The Wedding Awards North East

As some of you'll have seen in an email from me already, the Top Tier Awards for 2027 are open for nominations!

Every year, wedding vendors from across Scotland get dressed up, try to remember how to make small talk without mentioning centrepieces, and celebrate the season together.

And they know how to celebrate 😁

It's a cracking night, but it only happens because couples like you take a couple of minutes to nominate the people who made your day special.

You get 3 nominations across a whole range of categories, so this is your chance to give a little shoutout to your photographer, your florist, the band that kept everyone on the dance floor way past midnight, whoever made your wedding day the best day ever.

It genuinely takes just a few minutes, and it means so much to us vendors to know we made a difference.

So if you've not voted yet, you still have plenty of time.

Go on, go nominate someone! 😊

Phew Weee That was one busy week last week here a Phew Weee

That was one busy week last week here at The Celebrant Angel; don't ask me my name today, as I'm pretty sure I can't remember it :)

Had 3 cracking weddings this weekend, every one of them different, but all so much fun.

I cannot wait to see the photos, as there were lots of smiles and laughs and some new things that I'll share with you in the next couple of weeks once the busy busy period is over.

Tick Tock time I've had a few grooms this year wh Tick Tock time

I've had a few grooms this year who have had pocket watches as part of their outfits, and they are gorgeous.

They are classy and that little bit different.

It's maybe a lovely gift to buy your groom as their wedding day present.

Let's talk wedding shoes. There are so many decis Let's talk wedding shoes.

There are so many decisions to make when it comes to choosing your wedding shoes.

Heels or flats, white or coloured, plain or patterned, funky or traditional.

Have you chosen your wedding shoes yet? Flatties or heels? Or a mix of both?

What are you comfortable in?

I’m a flattie shoe person, someone who would love to be able to wear heels. I even have a pair of trainers especially for my ceremonies, with love hearts all over them.

If you've not thought about what you want to wear shoe wise then pop over and read the blog about choosing your wedding day shoes.
