A celebrant in Aberdeen for couples who want to laugh, love and legally tie the knot, I'm the girl to make your day memorable, fun and with meaning.

The Barn at Charlton on Saturday was stunning for The Barn

at Charlton on Saturday was stunning for Chelsea and Blair's wedding day.

A new venue to me, and one I hope to return to again.

It's a stunning place to get married, and they don't do a lot of weddings, so it's not a roll in roll out kinda place.

Paul and Graham look after you beautifully, and Graham is a dab hand at fluffing out your dress before the photos.

So if you're looking for a venue, not too far from Aberdeen, take a drive down and meet the boys, and have a look around; you won't be disappointed.

Last week was a bit of a chill week, closing dow Last week

was a bit of a chill week, closing down our caravan for Winter, so I spent 5 days up there chilling for bit.

It's been a busy season; all the ceremonies were written already, so was a lazy bissom and not on the computer very much, which was lovely. But I did manage to write a funeral script for a special lady.

But finished the week with a cracking wedding ceremony at a venue I'd not been at before but might be on my top 10 list now, and that was @the_barn_at_charleton

The weather was a bit hit-and-miss up in Aberlour, but the last two days were cracking; it's always the same when we are packing up, and we were among the last to leave, so we mostly had the site to ourselves.

The two dogs are now getting along just fine, so no pressure there anymore, and we had some cracking walks with them. Mac's going that little bit further now which Cody loves, as he likes a long walk.

1 more ceremony to go and that's it for 2026.

I love Autumn; the colours of the trees are stunning, but I feel I've missed a couple of months its been that busy here at The Celebrant Angel.

1 more ceremony to go and thats a wrap on 2026 weddings.

I need to catch up on my posts from all the weddings recently, but might get time to do that now :)

Sweatheart Don't you just love a sweetheart table Sweatheart

Don't you just love a sweetheart table at a wedding dinner?

I love that you don't have to decide who sits at the top table with you; it's just you two watching everyone else.

It doesn't distance you from the rest of the tables; it's close by, but it gives you both a few private moments while you eat dinner.

Would you have a sweetheart table?

There are some more ideas about a sweetheart table here on the blog https://www.thecelebrantangel.com/sweetheart-table-ideas/

Does side matter? When we have your rehearsal bef Does side matter?

When we have your rehearsal before the big day, one of the first things I ask you both is how you'd like to stand during your ceremony.

Do you want to stand in front of me, or would you prefer to stand to the side?

There’s no right or wrong way. Those old traditional rules about where you should stand have well and truly gone out the window. This is YOUR wedding, so we’ll do it your way!

Then comes my next question…

“Are you on my left or my right?”

Now, we all know that most of us have a good side… or at least a side we THINK is our good side! 😂

But seriously, there can be a good reason for choosing one side over the other.

Perhaps you've got a gorgeous hairpiece, a particular hairstyle or some lovely detail you'd like your guests to see.

Or maybe you simply prefer one side of your face to the other.

And let's be honest, if you've spent time getting yourself wedding-ready, you want to show it off!

These might seem like wee details, but they're worth thinking about before the big day.

My job is to help you feel comfortable, relaxed and happy with how everything comes together.

I've learnt that choosing sides can be a serious business for some people.

Do you think you have a better side?

I'm a symmetrical girl, so I would find it hard to choose which side I was going to show my guests during the ceremony.

30 years in the making. This week I had the absol 30 years in the making.

This week I had the absolute pleasure of marrying a beautiful couple, Jim and Sue, who have been together for 30 years. 💛

They always said they would get married in their 70s, and that’s exactly what they did.

No guests, no fuss, no announcement. Just the two of them, two witnesses I supplied for the day, and a very small ceremony under a hornbeam tree in Hazelhead Park.

We had Graham from @sneaky_peek_media taking some photos for their memory box.

Afterwards we celebrated with coffee and cake, when their witness presented them with a thrupence, which is something couples used to get on their wedding day long, long ago.

The hornbeam felt like the perfect choice.

It’s a tree known for its strength and endurance, with wood so hard it was once used for cogs and mallets.

In folklore, it stands for resilience, steadfastness and love that holds fast through the seasons. Thirty years together, and still choosing each other. It couldn’t have been more fitting.

Weddings don’t need to be big to be meaningful. This one was exactly what they wanted, and it was one of the most rewarding ceremonies I’ve ever had the privilege of doing.

Meet the Osbornes. I had the pleasure last week o Meet the Osbornes.

I had the pleasure last week of marrying Charlotte and Matt at the stunning Haddo House.

It was a party from the moment they got together at the top of the aisle, and I'll tell you more soon, but what a stunning couple and family to share the day with.

I'd never been to Haddo House before; oh me, what a place, and we got the weather that day too.

We had travellers from Australia join us for a good Scottish wedding celebration, and judging by the photos a hell of a party it was :)

A wee word about your wedding photos… This is som A wee word about your wedding photos…

This is something I talk to my couples about from their very first enquiry.

Your wedding photographs.

When your wedding day is over, the cake will have been eaten, the flowers will wilt, the décor will be packed away and your beautiful dress will probably spend the rest of its days hanging in the wardrobe!

But your photographs? They’re yours to keep.

They’re the memories you can look back on for years to come, the moments you might have missed in the whirlwind of the day, the laughter, the happy tears and the people who were there to celebrate with you.

Over the years, I’ve seen some stunning wedding photographs taken by incredibly talented photographers here in Scotland. I’ve also seen some that, if they were mine, would leave me feeling disappointed.

And that’s such a shame because you can’t go back and do it all again.

Now, I know weddings are expensive, and budgets only stretch so far. I get that!

But please, when choosing your photographer, don't make price your only consideration.

Look at their full galleries, not just the handful of gorgeous pictures on social media. Find a style you love and someone whose work makes you think, “YES, I want my photos to look like that!”

You don't have to book someone for the whole day, either. Maybe you just want the ceremony and family photos, or perhaps you want them there from getting ready right through to the dancing. Most photographers offer different packages, so have a chat and see what works for you.

And please don't leave booking them until the last minute! Once your venue and date are confirmed, get in touch. The good ones get booked up quickly, especially for popular dates.

Your wedding day doesn't need to be the most expensive or fanciest day ever. But when it's all over, your photographs are one of the things you'll have to look back on, share with family and treasure for years to come.

Your wedding day lasts a day. Your photographs help you relive it for a lifetime. ❤️

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of marrying Last week I had the absolute pleasure of marrying two beautiful young ladies at the stunning #kinkellbyrewedding in St Andrews.

Although, if I’m being completely honest, the day nearly started with me being the one needing rescuing… 😂

I went to see the girls before heading to the venue, they handed me the legal paperwork and the rings as I arrived.

Important things, you might think.

Things a celebrant should probably remember to bring.

Did I?

Nope…I left without them.😂

Thankfully, the girls realised before I got too far and called me to come back for them.

Kinkell Byre was absolutely stunning; the girls were an absolute delight and, despite the weather doing its very best to throw a complete tantrum, none of it mattered because these two were just so completely and utterly in love.

There was laughter, emotional moments, lots of love, and two beautiful ladies making some very important promises to each other.

Congratulations, you two.

It was such a joy to be part of your day, and I hope married life is every bit as beautiful as the two of you are together. ❤️

Once upon a time… A beautiful young Spanish lady Once upon a time…

A beautiful young Spanish lady bought herself a teddy wearing a kilt, simply because she thought he was cute.

Little did she know that one day she would marry a handsome young Scottish man, so naturally, when the big day finally arrived, Teddy had to come too!

And come he did, all the way to their beautiful September ceremony at @logiecountryhouse, where friends and family travelled from near and far, including Spain, to celebrate with them.

It was intimate, it was full of love, and there was a wee Scottish teddy sitting onthe sidelines with a grin on his face as though he knew what was going to happen when she bought him.

Sometimes the smallest things really do turn out to be part of the story. ❤️

And now, I get to share some of the gorgeous photographs from their day, taken by the lovely #michaelcarverphotography.
The Busy Bit Isn’t Quite Over Yet… It was another The Busy Bit Isn’t Quite Over Yet…

It was another busy week here at The Celebrant Angel’s office, and my wedding season is starting to wind down a wee bit.

There are still lots of lovely couples and ceremonies ahead, including a couple of new venues that I’m really looking forward to, so there’s plenty to keep me busy over the next few weeks. ❤️

I do have a wee weekend off coming up though, which I'm looking forward to.

And if the weather behaves itself, I might even get out on the bike for a bit.

Although I may have just jinxed it by mentioning it… 😂
