Meet the Watsons.. I had the pleasure of marrying Meet the Watsons.. I had the pleasure of marrying Amy and Graham @banchorylodge just over a week ago. It's a stunning spot for an outdoor wedding, with the river rushing by you as you get married. It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony with just their close friends and family and their furbaby, of course. I love these little weddings; they are so personal, with just your besties beside you. Everyone loves a selfie (not me) So, at the start Everyone loves a selfie (not me) So, at the start of some of my ceremonies, I ask the guests to grab a quick selfie. And there’s normally a good buzz around the room as everyone gets involved. But there’s a method to my madness… It sets the tone for the ceremony straight away. It gets people chatting, laughing and interacting with people they might not have met before. And then, once we’re done, I ask everyone to put their phones away. Yep… you’ve had your selfie. Now behave! 😂 It also means the bride gets to see, the next day, what her guests were seeing and doing before they arrived, all those little moments they would otherwise have missed. Some of the people you've just taken a selfie with could well be the same people you'll be standing beside at the bar later… so we may as well get the introductions out of the way early! A selfie, a laugh, a little bit of mingling, and then we get on with the important bit. Let’s Talk Bubbles I’ve had a few ceremonies thi Let’s Talk Bubbles I’ve had a few ceremonies this year where, instead of confetti, the happy couple have chosen bubbles. And that may be because your venue doesn’t allow confetti, but you still need something special for that first group photo right! They look gorgeous in photographs, especially if the sun catches them and little rainbows appear. They’re a much kinder option for the environment. And a brilliant option if you have kids at the ceremony, everyone loves a bubble. You can be 5 or 95 and hand you a bottle of bubbles and suddenly you’re having the time of your life. 😂 And there are benefits to not haveing confetti to. No sweeping up confetti. No bits of paper stuck to the bride’s dress. Just bubbles, smiles and a newly married couple disappearing into a cloud of happiness.
