Claire and Richard’s Library Wedding

Claire and Richard’s ceremony was an intimate ceremony, with their closest friends and family.

A couple who met later in life and are living the best life, with adventures, music and lots of laughs.

They got married in the most perfect setting for them both, with Claire being a lover of books.

The Society of Advocates Library in Aberdeen was the venue for Richard and Claire’s wedding ceremony.

An absolutely perfect spot for a teacher who loves books, and Claire had done their decor based around books and wild flowers; the place looked amazing.

Richard and Claire’s ceremony was lighthearted, plenty of laughs and included some of their family.

They used the Oathing stone for the vows, which was beautiful. Claire had chosen the stone on one of her wild swimming sessions and painted with symbols that meant something to her.

 

 

Feedback

We can’t thank Mary enough for all the help and support she has given us.

From the get-go, we felt comfortable and at ease.

She gave some great suggestions of what could work for us and was very organised in terms of advising us of any deadlines for paperwork.

She was completely unfazed that it was a new venue for her and seemed intrigued to find out more about it.

I think this encapsulates her enthusiasm for new experiences and trying something a bit outside the box.

I think if you wanted a very different wedding, Mary would be the celebrant for you.

The ceremony was just perfect – relaxed, full of love and truly reflected us as a couple.

For a very nervous bride, Mary was also a very reassuring presence on the day.

So many of our guests commented on how moving the ceremony was.

It was beautifully paced and perfectly captured us.

We highly recommend Mary.
