Jeanette and Duncan’s Wedding

A beach wedding was the order of the day for Jeanette and Duncan, Sunnyside Beach in Cullen, to be exact.

It is a place that means a lot to them as a family and a stunning spot for their intimate wedding ceremony.

This was my first beach wedding and I couldn’t have had a more lovely couple to do that with.

Date & Venue

Sunnyside Beach in Cullen was the venue in August 2024 for Jeanette and Duncan’s wedding ceremony.

A stunning deserted beach most days which was perfect for the wedding ceremony. And the weather was great until right after the ceremony when the heavens opened.

THE COUPLE

Jeanette and Duncan are a beautiful couple so much in love and in tune with each other.

They live for their boys and each other. They like to go on adventures together as a family, letting their boys experience lots of new things, building fantastic memories for them all to look back over.

The wedding party was the couple and their two sons, along with myself as the celebrant and a photographer and videographer.

The videographer and my partner were the witnesses on this stunning little beach so was a very small wedding party, exactly what they wanted.

Jeanette and Duncan’s ceremony was a lot of fun; it wasn’t about their past but their future.

We included a handfasting which their two boys participated in and had vows to the boys from Jeanette and Duncan to.

Their Story



first date

It took a while for Jeanette and Duncan to get on a first date when they went to Olivers the sandwich shop for lunch.

The date went so well that they went on more dates and both knew they were meant to be together.



proposal

Jeanette did the proposing on a family holiday on a beach.

The boys were in on the secret but she hadn’t got down on one knee and Duncan said if she was serious she should be on her knee and that she did.



Jeanette and Duncan’s two boys are their world, along with the menagerie of animals they have at home.

Live is about teaching the boys how to have fun, be confident and go on lots of adventures together.

If you have children involved in your ceremony 100% Mary is who you have been looking for.

Mary’s ceremony was perfect for us and had everything you could ask included and suggested some lovely additions we had never thought of.

Our ceremony was so personal to us as a couple and a family. We both laughed during it, which was great.

She included our 2 young sons in our ceremony wonderfully. They each had parts they asked to carry out, and Mary made sure this happened for them.

Not only that, Mary coped with our 6-year-old, focusing on the word fun and interpreting that as, and I quote, ‘I need to make everyone laughs’. Mary handled his interruptions well.

We were Mary’s 1st beach wedding which was our privilege. Mary was a star with this as it was not a stroll onto any old beach it was a half our walk with about 20 minutes of it being down a narrow path. If this phased Mary she did not let on and handled it (and the hike back) as if it happened all the time.
