Balchilton Barn – Wedding Venue Perth
A venue set in a picturesque and tranquil setting
May 2026 was my first visit to Balchilton Barn, a stunning wedding venue a few miles from Perth.
Are you just starting out planning your wedding, and looking for the right venue?
We’ll let me take you to a venue that’s perfect for weddings – Balchilton Barn.
Balchilton Barn was perfect for Dean and Ella’s wedding ceremony.
It’s hidden off the main road, in some beautiful scenery, with a pond and a bandstand out the front.
If you’re considering a barn wedding, then you need to check out Balchilton Barn; you will not be disappointed, I promise.
a unique wedding venue
Accommodation
Let’s start with the accommodation at Balchilton Barn.
There are 5 cottages on site as well as 2 mongolian yurts.
One of the lovely things about celebrating here is that nobody has to disappear the minute the dancing stops.
Between the cottages and the yurts Balchilton can accommodate up to 40 guests.
You can keep the laughter, stories and late-night chats going a little longer.
The yurts are included with every wedding package, and cottages can be added for even more room.
The Ceremony Space
The space at Balchilton Barn for the ceremony is absolutely beautiful.
The main ceremony room is all stone walls, timber beams and warm oak flooring.
The kind of space that photographs beautifully without trying.
Mood lighting along the beams keeps it intimate,
while the French doors draw your eye straight out to the gazebo, the pond, and the stunning Perthshire hills in the distance.
It’s wheelchair-friendly and has lots of car parking spaces in front of the venue.
The Dining Room
If the main room has bags of built-in charm
The barn is where couples get to make their own mark entirely.
It’s a proper blank canvas,
high wooden beams,
a fairy light canopy overhead,
space for a band or DJ,
a bar,
and enough room to style it however you like.
No two weddings in here ever look the same, and that’s exactly the point.
Your day, your way.
Those little touches
Balchilton Barn is yours to style and arrange however you wish,
giving you the freedom to create a space that feels completely personal.
Balchilton Team
From your first enquiry right through to your wedding day,
Kayleigh and Ellie are on hand to guide you and answer any questions
and help everything run smoothly.
They are lovely ladies and nothing was to much bother for them.
After the wedding
Once the celebrations are over, there’s no need to worry about mops, brushes or bin bags.
The venue team takes care of the cleaning.
Leaving you free to gather your belongings and relive the best bits of the day.
Balchilton is a beautiful venue for those smaller intimate ceremonies, and not to far from Edinbugh or Glasgow either.
So if you’re still venue hunting, go check them out, you won’t regret it.
Tell them Mary (aka The Celebrant Angel) sent you
Of course, you will need a celebrant to create a unique ceremony for you on the day, too, so pop over for a chat and let’s see if your date is free in my diary.
