The Seafied Arms – Wedding Venue Moray
A hidden gem in the heart of Cullen
July 2024 saw me doing a wedding at The Seafield Arms for Paul and Libby.
My first visit to the hotel and what a stunning venue in a stunning little seaside village.
Are you just starting out planning your wedding and looking for the right venue?
We’ll let me take you to a venue that’s perfect for weddings – The Seafield Arms in Cullen
TheSeafield Arms is situated about 43 miles from the city centre of Aberdeen, sitting on the beautiful Moray coast.
A venue well known for its private wine cellar as well with 70 malts and 50 gins for you to choose from, as well as its food and amazing staff.
And your photos… well there are some stunning backdrops for them as well in Cullen.
So let me tell you a bit more about having a wedding at The Seafield Arms.
A true gem of a hotel
Function rooms
There are 2 options for where to have your ceremony at The Seafield Arms in Cullen.
Upper Chambers which can accommodate from 6 people up to a maximum of 20 guests
The Upper Chamers is a stunning circular room overlooking the village’s main street.
From the windows, you can see the beach and the Cullen Railway Viaduct. (If I had half a nerve I’d have my photos done up there)
This is where Paul and Libby had their intimate ceremony in July 2024 with their closest family and friends, and it was perfect.
Then you have the Grand Ballroom, which can seat 20 to a maximum of 80 guests.
Paul and Libby had their ceremony in the Upper Chambers, which meant there was no turnaround time to get the tables ready for dinner

Sleepovers
The Seafield Arms has 102 bedrooms, to be exact, and you also have the option of 3 cottages located close to the hotel’s car park.
These spacious, self-catering cottages are ideal for families or the wedding party.
The Stair Case

Oh my goodness (or, if you know me, I’d be saying OMG at this point), if you want an amazing entrance and exit, you want to see this staircase.
It’s absolutely stunning for your photos.
Availability
I love the ethos of The Seafield Arms about weddings.
They don’t do a wedding a week or 2 or 3 a week; they have made the conscious decision to limit the number of weddings they do a year, which allows them to give unbelievable service to their couples.
There is no hurry out tomorrow so our next wedding can get in and I like that.
The Seafield Arms is the perfect spot for weddings of various sizes, from intimate to larger.
And I would highly recommend at least going and meeting Ailie and looking around the hotel if your still looking for a venue.
Tell them Mary (aka The Celebrant Angel) sent you
Of course, you will need a celebrant to create a unique ceremony for you on the day, too, so pop over for a chat and let’s see if your date is free in my diary.
