Shirley and Mike’s Wedding

Mike and Shirley’s wedding at The Rufflets Hotel this November was the perfect blend of heartfelt emotion and joyful celebration.

Throughout the day, guests experienced a ceremony rich with personal touches, from a Celtic handfasting to sharing whisky from a traditional Quaich.

Finally, surrounded by their favourite people, Mike and Shirley exchanged rings and vows that celebrated not just their love, but the beautiful, messy, perfectly imperfect life they’ve already built together.

The Rufflets Hotel in St Andrews, fife, is a stunning venue for a wedding.

The colours of autumn were stunning, setting off the ceremony perfectly.

Shirley and Mike are golfers and their first weekend away was to St Andrews. So they chose to have their wedding day in a place close to their hearts.

It was filled with their closest family and friends for a beautiful intimate ceremony with lots of laughts in it.

Mary really shaped our thinking during our meetings.

Our guests, old and young, loved the ceremony and a few burly blokes admitted to having a tear in their eye.

The process Mary uses allows you to get to a place gently, and her use of humour is great.
